I am so sorry to hear this. It sounds like they may have missed the wrapping all together. It should have been in a box of its own, wrapped (with a ribbon) and then placed in a shipping box which would have had the shipping label etc.
I didn’t see a note on your order for the card, so we wouldn’t have known what to write on it. Many people choose wrapping, but no card, so we wouldn’t automatically include a card unless the order notes specified. Either way that does not excuse the way it was wrapped and shipped to you.
I have refunded you for the wrapping and created a one time discount code for your next purchase online, if you so wish to give us another chance.
